Vestibulodynia
Sometimes couples are unable to have intercourse regularly because the woman experiences pain. The most common diagnosis is vestibulodynia — hyper-sensitivity or pain on light touch to the vestibule (opening of the vagina), such as during intercourse and the insertion of tampons.
Vancouver Hospital is hosting a free public education event on the topic of vestibulodynia. There will be an expert panel and a question/answer session.
